In January 2018, Alyssa launched A|VA Apparel, an online tshirt shop that celebrates all the places and spaces that make Alexandria, VA so special. Through this business she met many other Alexandria-based creatives and makers. Her desire for deeper camaraderie within this creative community inspired her to establish the Alexandria Makers Market LLC in August 2019, as a venue to connect and foster meaningful collaboration throughout the city.
